Hi Everyone, today I’m doing a review on the Gleam Brand’s guitar stand. This is what I have liked about the product and the one thing you need to know before purchasing for yourself.

When using the Gleam Brand’s guitar stand I have really enjoyed:

That it is so easy to put your guitar on the stand and guick to get it off as well.

This stand fits my electric guitar well and feels super secure when I the stand. I have used cheaper stands in the past and with a slight touch they would fall over which can really damage your guitar.

I’m using it for my electric guitar but this stands also fits acoustic guitars, a bass or even Ukuele as well. It’s able to do this because there is different height adjustments. If you have a V shaped guitar I don’t think it would fit in this stand though because of how the bottom is designed.

This stand folds up which is nice if you want to take it to go and is really light weight.

On the bottom part the holds the guitar it protected and spongey so you don’t get any scratches on your guitar.

There is also a rubber piece on the top stand of the stand to secure the guitar’s fret board.

It a compact stand, I have it currently setup in a tiny corner of our living room and doesn’t take too much space which I’m really happy about.

The main issue that I have found with the Gleam Brand’s guitar stand is that it was a little difficult to put together. The directions were well written but there is this small silver piece you need to push and I had a little but of difficulty doing this.

This issue isn’t too big of a deal because it really only took 5 or so minutes to put together I just had to go over the directions a few times until I figured out what I was doing wrong.

Overall I would recommend the Gleam Brand’s guitar stand because it’s a nice simple stand and it has been holding my guitar safely in our home.

Thank you for watching my review video on Gleam Brand’s guitar stand. Have a nice day.

In this Toyvelt Toddler Golf Set Review you’ll find out exactly what you need to know before making a purchase!

First off, we didn’t know how much our daughter would take to the golf set at first but we have to say this is one of her favorite toys still to this day…

Here’s a few of the things we like about the toddler golf set and few things we don’t like :

-Light weight – our toddler easily carries this thing all over the house at 16 months. It’s also on wheels so when she is a bit older she may use those instead of dragging it around the house!

-Easy to put away and store in the corner

– Clubs are light weight so they wont damage your house or anyone too bad. I would say the screw connections could be a bit stronger as they come apart pretty easily but overall they work pretty well for the price.

What we don’t love :

The balls – While they are lightweight and great objects to hit around the house for your toddler, they can get dinged up pretty easily. Our dog has ruined most all of them.

Storing the balls – Additionally, storing the balls in the 4 holes in front is great but difficult for our young daughter to get the ball out on her own. Overall, the ToyVelt Toddler Golf Set is awesome and our family has shared a ton of good memories watching our baby girl play with this set.

It’s fun to see her take to them so well and hope that it turns into a passion of hers in the future 🙂 (we can hope right)

Today I’m doing a review on the Icopuca brand shopping cart cover in the Grey Arrow Print.

We have enjoyed using this product and find out the one thing you need to know before buying it for yourself.

This cover so far has fit all the shopping carts I have used even the larger Costco carts which is amazing. It’s 100% cotton which makes it really soft for your baby.

The print is really cute and gender neutral for boys or girls. It’s Really easy to wash. I throw it in with the rest of my daughter’s clothes and because it’s 100% cotton I just hang dry it so it won’t shirk.

The back is padded really nicely so it’s comfortable for your baby. Also, there is a seat belt so your little one can’t stand up.

There are some toy rings so you don’t have to worry about your baby throwing their toys and getting on the dirty store floor. This also keeps them entertained while shopping if their toys are close by.

There is a cell phone point so you want to keep your phone close by for you it really convenient or if you want to put on a movie or kids show for your baby to keep them entertained it great for that too since it’s clear.

The pouch is also quite large and fits my iPhone with a super thick otter box case without any issues. When you’re done using it folds up really nice into it self.I have also used in restaurant high chairs as well as at the park on the swings.

The only down side of this product is it is not water proof. If your baby spills a good amount it will seep through the cover but honesty I prefer for it not to be because cotton is my preferred fabric for my baby and I want all her products to be as soft as possible for her delicate skin.

Since it washes easily to, it’s not that big of a deal to us. I recommend the Icopuca brand shopping cart cover and both my baby and I have enjoyed using it while we are out shopping.

While using the shopping cart cover it makes me feel better knowing she isn’t touching the carts and picking up extra germs and whatever else may be on them.

Thanks for watching this review on the Icopuca brand shopping cart cover. Buy Direct From Amazon.com : https://amzn.to/3k40Z4T

It is extremely important to avoid low-grade inflammation in our bodies to reduce the risk of oxidative stress on our cells, and maintaining a healthy weight is essential for healthy habits.

Some cardiologists now recommend what they call the 5 Pillars of Health as a good starting point for good cardiovascular health. Let’s dive into the 5 pillars right now..

  1. DIET

Eat a diet based on fish and seafood with red meat just occasionally. If you eat fish rich in Omega oils like Salmon three times a week it will improve your health outcomes. Have breakfast of whole-grain cereal and fruits, no added sugar, and avoid fruit juice and sugary drinks. Add extra vegetables to your meals. Keep cakes and cookies for special occasions, if they are not in your house you won’t miss them. Limit alcohol intake.

Try to drink a lot more water to stay well hydrated, and drink more green tea for its antioxidant properties. If you have children, this is a good opportunity to get them started on a healthy diet, as many children are becoming overweight.

  1. EXCERCISE FOR HEALTHY HABITS

Many people give up exercise as they get older, but of course, it is more important than ever. If possible take a brisk walk every day, 5-6 days a week. 3-5 hours of moderate exercise per week for older people is recommended. Weight-bearing exercise is the best kind to keep the bones strong. If you can’t walk due to arthritis or other joint conditions, take up swimming. Many people who don’t walk try pilates to build core strength and stability. If you find walking boring, plug some music in and walk to the beat, it makes you go faster.

3.NO ADDICTIONS

When we think about addictions it is not usually in terms of ourselves, but this means, no smoking, no vaping, no illicit drugs. Limit your alcohol intake to 1-2 standard drinks no more than x5 a week. We often see people who have given up smoking after thirty years, and sadly it takes its toll on the lungs, and they often end life with COPD ( Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), on oxygen, and very breathless.

Never drink or smoke during pregnancy as there is no healthy alcohol limit for an unborn child, and remaining alcohol-free will give them the best start in life.

  1. GOOD QUALITY SLEEP IS ONE OF THE BEST HEALTHY HABITS

Most people require 7-8 hours of quality sleep a night. Your daily exercise program can help this, as you will feel tired after exercising and sleep better. Avoid screen time before bed as the blue light can keep us awake. As people age, they often complain of difficulty sleeping, but many people don’t walk enough to be tired. Move around as much as possible for good cardiovascular health.

  1. MAINTAIN GOOD SOCIAL CONNECTIONS

Staying socially connected with family and friends is much more important to our heart health than we thought. As we age, it is important to take up new activities to keep our neural pathways working. A lot of people do puzzles every day, and if this doesn’t interest you, join a book club.

Learn a musical instrument or start playing cards, there are so many interesting activities to take up that will keep cognitive function from declining.

Eating healthy foods is a must for everyone. And it’s only one of the many ways to feel better, look better and live longer. But eating a healthy diet requires more than just an understanding of what foods are healthy and which ones are not.

Discussed are some healthy food ideas that you can try at home or when eating out to stay on your track to health.

Healthy Eating Tips
  1. fruits and vegetables

Fruits and vegetables are the most important part of any diet. Even if you eat unhealthy foods, eating a lot of fruits and vegetables every day will help you get the nutrients you need for good health and keep you from feeling hungry.

A diet rich in fruits and vegetables will also help your body fight off diseases like cancer. Many fruits and veggies contain large amounts of antioxidants which can protect your body from damage caused by free radicals produced by everyday activities.

People who eat plenty of fruits and vegetables are also less likely to suffer from heart disease and stroke, so fruit juices and fresh fruits are a great choice for snacks. Whole fruits are better because they contain more fiber which slows down digestion. And you’ll get more vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants from raw fruits and veggies than processed foods.

  1. Protein

Protein is the most important nutrient in a healthy diet. It’s found in foods such as meats, fish, eggs, dairy products, and certain nuts such as almonds.

Protein helps build muscle and maintain lean body weight. Consuming too much protein can cause gas and bloat, so a non-animal protein source containing some carbs will be a better choice for most people.

  1. Beans and legumes

The healthiest protein sources are beans and legumes, which are high in fiber and contain no cholesterol. Beans and legumes include chickpeas, lentils, black beans, soybeans, and peanuts.

Studies have shown that diets high in fiber can help lower your blood cholesterol level. The soluble fiber (found in beans) will also help you feel full longer, so you’ll eat fewer calories during the day.

  1. Fats and oils

Healthy fats can benefit your health in several ways. The monounsaturated fats found in olive oil, nuts, and avocados are excellent sources of vitamin E, which acts as an antioxidant to protect your cells from damage and lower your risk of heart disease.

The omega-3 fatty acids found in fish are good for the brain and can help prevent depression. You can also get omega-3s from flaxseed and fish oil supplements.

  1. Whole grains

Whole grains are the least processed form of grains, containing all of their natural nutrients. Whole grains include oats, brown rice, and whole-wheat products such as pasta, bread, and crackers.

The best whole grains will be listed as the first ingredient on the package, so check food labels to see if it’s a healthy choice.

  1. Fruit juices

Juice is the nutrient-rich liquid that surrounds fruits after they are picked. Juices contain vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. The problem with many fruit juices is that they are highly concentrated in sugar and have little or no fiber.

The best juice to drink is fresh fruit juice. Frozen juices tend to contain added sugar, and there’s no evidence that they’re as healthy as fresh juice.

  1. Dairy products

Dairy products contain calcium, vitamin D, protein, and other nutrients that are good for your health. The best milk to drink is low-fat milk or skim milk because it’s a better choice for most people.

Cheese is also a good source of calcium. What kind of cheese you eat is less important than in moderation because cheese can be high in saturated fat and calories.

In conclusion, eating healthy foods will give you energy and lead to a healthy lifestyle that can help you live longer and feel younger. So, eat the right type of food and be healthy.

Hey there and welcome to my website justaonegirlrevolution.com. I’m so excited to have you here to share the top five tips I have to help you lose weight in the next 30 days or less.

Quick & Easy Weight Loss Tips

There are a number of things that you can do no matter where your metabolism is or how much you weigh. We’re going to cover those top tips in this quick and easy articles of stick around.

The first hit that I have for anybody ready to lose some extra weight is to avoid skipping your breakfast in the morning. This is one of the most overlooked weight loss tips that I can give you and one of the most overlooked meals of the day. According to the official NCBI website, “nearly 1/4 of individuals in the United States skip breakfast every day, with an average energy contribution of 16% of total caloric intake.” This is one of the top government websites telling you that skipping breakfast is a huge problem and accounts for a huge percent of your recommended caloric intake every day!

The second hit that I have for you is to eat regular meals everyday. There are some people that think that starving themselves and eating one meal a day is a healthy When it comes to losing weight. This is so far from the truth it makes me crazy! Your body needs food to survive and buy starving yet it will actually store the fat in your body not knowing when it will eat next! If you didn’t know this one simple fact it could literally change your entire weight loss game overnight!

There are a lot of people that might tell you to avoid eating sugary fruits but at the end of the day it’s better than eating fatty cheeseburgers and French fries filled with carbs and fat. I would rather eat small meals of fruits and veggies every so often then a fatty cheeseburger once every single day.

Another tip I have for you, and this might be the most simple one to add To your daily regimen and that is getting more active. I’m not asking for a whole lot here, a simple walk for 15 minutes a day will do. Now that we all work from home it’s so easy to sit in our computer chair and scarf down carbs house all day long. But don’t let that happen to you! Take 10 to 15 minutes out of your day to step out of the house get some sunshine and burn some calories.

Last but not least, I think it’s important to drink plenty of water all day. There are some people that will tell you that drinking a gallon of water is critical but in my opinion that is a difficult task for the average Joe like me and you. If you can just double your water intake from what you’re doing every single day that will be a huge benefit to your Health.

I’m not asking for a lot of your folks, it’s really pretty simple. If you follow the five steps above as mentioned I really believe that over the next 30 days you could see a huge transformation in your body and your overall health. If you have any questions feel free to leave them in the comments below and thank you for checking on my website.

breakfast burrito quiche

One night last week, I was trying to fall asleep and my mind was wandering, naturally to food. I don’t fancy myself a recipe blogger, but I felt like I had a mini-moment of great ideas when I thought of a breakfast idea. I scribbled it down before falling asleep because I knew come morning, the idea would be long gone. Thus, the breakfast burrito quiche was born!

breakfast burrito quiche
Breakfast Burrito Quiche

Serves 6
Ingredients

9″ deep dish pie crust*
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 small potato, diced
½ small red onion, diced
1 red pepper, seeded and diced
1 jalapeño, diced
15 ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed
15 ounce can diced tomatoes with green chiles
1 cup Mexican blend cheese
4 eggs
¾ milk
1 tsp chili powder
Salt and pepper to taste

*Feel free to use a store bought or homemade crust, or leave this out for a crustless quiche that makes a great lower calorie, gluten-free option.
Steps

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out a cold pie crust until it’s about 13″ in diameter. Press the crust into a deep dish pie pan, crimp the edges for a nicer looking crust, and set aside.
3. Dice the potatoes, onion, and peppers into about ¼” pieces.
4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet; add potatoes, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Let the potatoes cook for 5 minutes, flipping occasionally.
5. Add onions and peppers, and let cook for 2-3 minutes, until the onions start to lightly brown.

quiche veggies

6. Add the can of diced tomatoes to the skillet and cook for another 4-5 minutes (or until the liquid from the tomatoes has started to cook off), stirring occasionally, then add black beans.
7. While that continues to cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, in a small bowl whisk eggs and milk together.
8. Add the potato mix to the pie pan, making a layer over the bottom of the pan. Carefully pour the eggs evenly over the top, and sprinkle with cheese. The pie pan will be very full at this point, so take caution when moving it to the oven.
9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the eggs have solidified and the cheese is lightly browned.

quiche

Eat as is, or garnish with your favorite toppings for a Mexican dish such as guacamole or sour cream. It tastes great hot or cold!

IN™ is a year long, online Health Coach training program with a curriculum that encompasses not only dietary theories, but also working with clients and running a business.

What really appealed to me about this program was that the school focuses on what food you’re putting in your body, at the basic level, but takes a very holistic approach to health. The “unique nutrition philosophy takes a holistic approach to wellness and encourages students to consider relationships, work, exercise, and spirituality as essential to building good health” (source). This is 100% in line with my personal beliefs on health: it’s very all-encompassing. Someone can be eating all the right things but still be completely unhealthy.

Enrolling at IIN was something I had thought about for a really long time – I think well over a year. Through various healthy living blogs, I’ve heard great things about the program from its graduates. At the end of the day, it always came back to the financial aspect that held me back. Thanks to my friend Jessica, I secured a really fantastic deal on the enrollment fee. I had wanted to do this for so long that I knew it was the right decision for me, and with a good discout, I knew that I couldn’t say no any longer.

Over the holidays, I went through some of the fundamentals lectures, and classes officially began on January 14. I’ve learned about many dietary theories already and now we’re starting to talk about the first interactions with potential clients, known as the health history. Last week, I took my first of four tests required for graduation, and passed with flying colors! Yeah!

IIN is a lot of work and they are not shy about emphasizing that fact in the initial stages of the curriculum. It varies per week how many hours I devote to studying and various IIN work, but I would say at the bare minimum, it is three hours a week. Like anything in life, though, I know I’ll get out of this experience what I put in to it, so I’ve also been spending time doing extra learning in the vast research library they offer students.

One of the biggest questions people ask is what I want to do with this certification once I’m done. To be completely honest, I’m not sure yet, beyond the fact that it’s something I’d like to do on the side, and keep my current job. I have a lot of ideas and dreams, but I’ve still got over nine months left in the program, so those dreams might look completely different. I don’t want to shut any doors by setting my sights on one particular thing. I do know that I have no plans to jump right into starting my own health coaching business full-time. I’m not sure that’s something I ever aspire to.

Although I’m only about a quarter of the way through the program, I am absolutely loving my experiences with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition thus far. I think that once it’s all said and done, I will be a great Health Coach. Wherever this path takes me, I hope to positively impact the lives of so many people.

If you have questions about IIN and my experiences thus far, I would love to hear from you! I also need to do a minimum of six health histories over the next few months, so if you want to be a guinea pig for that, let me know. 1. Celebrating my dear friend Andi at her bridal shower this weekend; I’m very much looking forward to the wedding later this summer! It’s a beach wedding, so it will be a nice little getaway (and a chance to see Kayla, her husband, and finally meet their little ones!). Andi is one of the local friends that I’ve met through blogging and while she’s not writing any longer, I’m thankful that our friendship has lasted.

2. Yoga. Although I’ve done a little yoga in recent months with podcasts, it was amazing to get back to the studio and practice in a room full of other yogis. As much as I wish that practicing in my living room was the same experience, it just isn’t. Still great, but just not the same. They recently offered a deal for a month unlimited for $50 (rather than the $140 it usually costs!), so I jumped on that. Even if I only go to three classes, I’ve more than paid for it based on the drop-in rate.

really cool events I attended.

1. My alma mater’s annual Enrichment Dinner was last Tuesday, and I had the opportunity to attend again due to my involvement with our young alumni board. I ordered a dress from Rent the Runway (<–affiliate link) and felt like a million bucks. (Side note: this was the first time I’ve used RTR and was a bit hesitant, but would absolutely go that route again. Incredibly easy, great customer service, and just an all around good experience.) When I started my weight loss journey back in 2006, I could only dream of feeling confident and strong in a dress like that, but boy, did I ever! And as amazing as I felt, it’s an event I look forward to every year because there is such a sense of pride and philanthropy in the GVSU and Grand Rapids communities. I’m so honored to be a two-time alumna of a university that celebrates giving and encourages students to dream big.

2. I went with a few friends to a premiere party of The Fault in Our Stars on Thursday night. The event was a fundraiser for Make-A-Wish® Michigan which is just such a stinking awesome organization. The movie was wonderful and I would absolutely recommend it. You need not have read the book to enjoy the move, but as someone who adored the book, I was glad to see the movie adaptation was very well done. I went in fully expecting some major tears and that didn’t happen. The rest of the theater was a hot mess though. Two of the girls are the ones that I went shopping with for goal pants back in December, and we decided a few weeks in advance that this event would be the perfect chance to wear them in public! Even though we all want the fitting and feeling just a bit better, it was a huge boost of confidence to wear them!

what I’m currently tackling on my summer reading list.

1. Thrive: The Third Metric to Redefining Success and Creating a Life of Well-Being, Wisdom, and Wonder by Arianna Huffington.

thrive

I’m just about done with this one, so review to come, but a sneak preview to say that while it’s inspiring and a good reminder of a better way to live, I feel like a lot of what she writes about is not necessarily ground breaking information.

2. Naked Spirituality: A Life With God in Twelve Simple Words by Brian McLaren.

naked spirituality

I’m only a few pages in, but so far, so good! I’m a big fan of McLaren’s, though, so I have high hopes. I’ve really enjoyed the series my church is doing based on this book, so I’ll take that as a good sign as well.

I’ve been reminded of some of the less than awesome things about summer (which I will gladly deal with for this amazing weather!).

1. Sunburn potential. I got a little red at Andi’s shower on Sunday, but not too terrible. Thankfully one of her sister’s brought out some sunscreen that proved to be a lifesaver, because otherwise, I would be miserable today. I’m usually quite careful about applying it, but didn’t know we were going to be outside. Perhaps I should just keep some on me at all times?

2. Mosquito bites. Because of all the snow we had over the winter and the fairly sudden appearance of warmer weather, mosquitoes are crazy already this year! I’m prone to some pretty bad reactions, although not as bad as when I was a kid, so bites are rough. I’m already at well over a dozen of them, so that’s no fun.

tweets I loved.

2.

There’s something incredibly fun about being that girl at the coffee shop dancing in her chair, ear-buds blasting Pharrell Williams.
