Today I’m doing a review on the Contigo West Loop Stainless Steel Vacuum-Insulated Travel Mug with Spill-Proof Lid. Find out what I have liked about this travel mug and see if it will work for you as well.
There are many Contigo travel mug color options to choose from and the one that I have in the review is the one labeled as “Gold Morel” in the sixteen once size.
Online, it’s hard to see what this color is like in person. From a distance it is a shiny gray exterior but when the light or sunlight hits it there are really pretty gold flecks or sparkles.
These Contigo travel mugs have a stainless steel base and a plastic and rubber lid. Both pieces are BPA free.
The pieces that come along with this travel mug are the stainless steel cup base. The second piece is the lid that screws onto the cup base.
This lid is really cool because I think it has some awesome features that aren’t on many travel mugs.
First, this travel mug doesn’t leak or drip out at all when its not in use. You can shake this thing, tip it over hold it upside down and not a drop will come out.
There is also a lock on the lid so if you’re tossing this mug into a gym bag, purse or anywhere on the go you don’t have to worry about it all accidentally getting opened and spilling.
When you want to take a sip out of the mug, make sure it is in the unlocked position and then hit the “Autoseal” button on the front to open up the drink spout. Drinking can be done with one hand for when you are sipping and driving or only have one hand available.
The travel mug is easy to clean as well. The lid is dishwasher safe on the top rack and even opens up all the way so the complete interior of the lid can get nice and clean. The lid will stay in one piece so there are no pieces to lose for the lid at all.
The bottom base portion is recommended to be hand washed.
We have many of these Contigo travel mugs and they are by far the best ones we have ever purchased or used. Hot drinks stay ripping hot for over five hours and cold drinks stay ice cold for over 12 hours because of their THERMALOCK vacuum insulation.
My husband likes to take this mug out when he plays golf and after a full eighteen holes his coffee is still hot and drinkable.
This travel mug can fit into most cup holders as well which was an important factor to us.
I have nothing bad to say about these travel mugs as all.
Overall I highly recommend the Contigo West Loop Stainless Steel Vacuum-Insulated Travel Mug with Spill-Proof Lid because we love using them. They keep our drinks hot and cold, clean up easily and come in fun colors as well.
